I had the pleasure to talk about partnership btw banks and fintechs at the World API Banking Dialogue in London. Very interesting insights from Tony McLaughlin who raised the necessity for banks to reposition themselves and their offer towards platforms, to further develop credit to platform users (both sides) and warning that developing proprietary APIs might lead to further desintermediation. A BIS study (https://lnkd.in/dXXTujA) showed that BigTechs better lend that banks… Victoria Bateman made a very complete presentation on knowledge and usage of Fintechs, even showing that millenials might better trust newcomers from the Fiat economy (non Fintechs) than banks… hashtag#fintechs hashtag#payments
